Guests enjoy the quiet relaxation of this 1884 railroad town. It’s just 2 blocks to the sandy beach, pier, harbor and amazing sunsets over the sparkling waters of the Chesapeake Bay, . . . you can see the bay from the front veranda.  Many couples and groups return year after year to the quality accommodations at the family-run Cape Charles Hotel Historic Inn.

This unique Eastern Shore Virginia hotel opened in 2005, with brand-new insides, after a $3 million National Trust for Historic Preservation approved renovation. The only hotel in town, this is a perfect place for that romantic getaway, special birthday, or anniversary celebration, and it’s a wonderful gift idea.  It’s also an interesting destination for group meetings, or retreats.
