Cape
Charles Hotel Historic Inn may
have some old history, but its
full of new businesses and is a
unique new alternative for small
meeting plans, such as family
reunions, business meetings or
special interest retreats. The
hotel is open year round. As for meeting
space, the first floor event
room measures 40x80, can
accommodate 80 (dining) to 120
(meeting) persons and has
a raised stage area and sound
system. Other first floor spaces
include the art gallery which
measures 20x80 and can be used
for smaller meetings. The second
story 18x30 common room and 12x
80 foot Veranda overlooking the
harbor and the mouth of the
Chesapeake Bay are available
for hotel guests. The building
is handicap accessible, has rear
entrances and has wired and
wireless high speed internet.
Currently the meeting room space
is typically used only for
groups requiring a hotel stay
involving a minimum of 8 rooms.
Outside catering may be used.

north of Norfolk Airport and 200
miles south of Baltimore. It is
10 miles north of the Chesapeake
Bay Bridge Tunnel at the mouth

located for exploring. There are
17 comfortable and delightfully
decorated rooms furnished with
art and antiques. Every room has
its own colorful personality.
Each room has a private bath,

majority offer Queen, or King
sized beds. Some rooms have
extra features like water views,
ADA compliance, adjoining rooms,
or a private terrace. A
complimentary continental
breakfast is provided on
weekends during summer season.
The
building is comprised of 13,000
square feet with a large
Lobby, the Sunlight Gallery, an
art venue on the
first floor. Guests can enjoy
the music, art and history in a
beautiful building that’s been a
gathering place since it was
built in 1884. The downstairs Lobby
contains a museum quality
collection of historic photos
and memorabilia. There is a
fountain courtyard out back next
to handicapped parking spaces.
Original paintings by regional
artists adorn the walls. There
is a second story formal Sitting
Room and front Veranda that
overlooks the Cape Charles
harbor and the Chesapeake
