The Cape Charles
Hotel Historic Inn is closed.
This means there are no hotel
rooms available for Summer 2010.
The
hotel and business are closed
and the owners have retired. The
empty building has been sold and
we do not know if it will be
re-opened as a hotel.
You can
do an internet search to find
alternative accommodations since
the Inn has closed. There is a
Holiday Inn Express and a Best
western in Exmore, 25 miles
north.
All the
best to our friends, old and
new, have a wonderful day.

Welcome to Cape Charles Hotel
Historic Inn, a 17-room inn
between the harbor and the bay
in Cape Charles' Historic
District on the beautiful
Eastern Shore of Virginia.
Guests enjoy the quiet
relaxation of this 1884 railroad
town. It’s just 2 blocks to the
sandy beach, pier, harbor and
amazing sunsets over the
sparkling waters of the
Chesapeake Bay, . . . you can
see the bay from the front
veranda. Many couples and
groups return year after year to
the quality accommodations at
the family-run Cape Charles
Hotel Historic Inn.
This unique Eastern Shore
Virginia hotel opened in 2005,
with brand-new insides, after a
$3 million National Trust for
Historic Preservation approved
renovation. The only hotel in
town, this is a perfect place
for that romantic getaway,
special birthday, or anniversary
celebration, and it’s a
wonderful gift idea. It’s
also an interesting destination
for group meetings, or retreats.
If you stay with us, you’ll
be in good company. . .
Most weekends the hotel is full
of laughing couples, boaters,
golfers, vacationers, and people
celebrating special events in
town. We specialize in
getaways, groups and multiple
night stays.
When you decide to come,
please try to call ahead to make
your reservation. And
bring along your friends!
